Nevras
"Based on literature, when the evil spirit, Ottovia was sealed in the Eight Peaks, the saints saw the tears of sorrow and unwillingness shed. Over time it gradually converged into a lake at the end of the eight peaks."
The basis of awakening Food Souls is the magic crystals formed around Eight Peaks due to the extreme temperatures there.
The Academy is controlled by Gloriville but due to Palata's neutrality, they can provide financial support. There is contention about this buy the Royal Family has not spoken about it.
Elves used to live in the Polar Snowfield, there are ancient buildings left but it's too dangerous for adventurers to explore.
Looking at the locations illustrations, Nevras really is quite pretty. Too bad it's hard to enjoy it while freezing your ass off;;
Determination: Since the guild and academy are controlled by the Royal Family, MC wants to get permission to enter the latter.
A New Companion: Olivia obtained a distribution license, Olivia transferred to MC's branch to be nearby to help easier.
Winterland: Aw, Rice bringing a pot of tea, so thoughtful. :') They encounter what might a be student and help her against Fallens chasing her.
Break Through to the Academy: The first person they run into at the academy is an arrogant rude guy, even Olivia gets mad, The minister of the Chef's guild, Lockheed, shows up. He orders them away though. A student named Mithra has escaped (are students locked in??) and MC-tachi are ordered to bring her back.
Find Her: They encounter a geological surveyor waiting for their own food order who saw the girl heading to Blue Stone Town with a bunch of strange stones.
Take Back Control: They go to Blue Stone Town and help get the facility running after it broke down.
A Dangerous Time: They find Mithra on the beach.
Reasonable: She made a deal with the Fallen Angel Queen Conch to find out more about them. I guess her end is feeding her blue crystals, but the group destroyed them trying to help Mithra.
From the Academy: Mithra knows about the syringes and spills everything! A team formed 15 years ago to study Fallen Angels, they made a lot of breakthroughs, Using the crystals, they were able to transform and mutate other species, including humans, into Fallen Angels?! That can't be ethical...... The royal family approved it wtf but one of the team was murdered and their research was wiped. Sounds like Sakurajima still has something to do with it.
Cross the Sea: Sakurajima has been cut off for 300 years. There only choice it seems is to taking a fishing boat from Blue Stone Town.
The Town Leader's Assistance: They get permission to use the boat and provide food for the villagers since they won't be able to fish (why do they only have one fishing boat??).
The Evil God's Tears: Why don't they maintain the boat that provides fish for them?? Especially since it sounds like they don't have other boats. 'They all got destroyed'. They say they can fix the messed up hull but for some reason ordinary wood won't work, they need to get water from the lake and dip the wood in it. And for some reason they can't just gather some water in a pot and dip the wood at their leisure, they have to go out on the ship and awkwardly dip it into the water. And of course there's Fallen Angels! Mithra took some of the water, I wonder what she wants to combine it with?
Fall: Mithra delayed their leaving because she wanted mud...
New Archaeological Find: I...they fall into a hole?? Their whole boat or what? It's the 'Catacombs' underneath. The Academy dug an entrance but this is a different one and there are ancient engravings on the walls.
The Hidden One: Mithra reads an engraving about Light and Dark spirits that says they come from the same ancestors. At one point the world was almost destroyed and civilization was divided in two. Rice can read the engravings. There is 'another world' on the other side of the mountains but no one has lived to tell about it. I can honestly understand Mithra's reluctance to leave, a treasure trove of knowledge is right there...
Relentless Pursuit: The Spectra Fallen Angel followed them out so Olivia and Ichi save them.Why is he so hot?
Set Sail: I'd have thought Mithra would've wanted to get back to the academy to do her research but she's going with them. A red fog surrounds them and knocks everyone out. ๐ต Is that Sakurajima's way of taking care of visitors?
I think I might have stopped around Palata in my first read-through? I'm excited to read events stuff agh.

December Manga TBR 3
bluapapilioUsed my manga TBR boardgame.
I finished 6/6 on my last board, though I only read a little of most of them because soon after I finished picking for the challenge I realized I didn't have the energy to read full volumes of everything like usual. Still lacking energy a lot but BL/short things are much easier at times like this. I didn't have much trouble reading 1 chapter, it feels pathetic but hey, some days are gonna be like that and you do what you can do. I did enjoy what I read!

Roll #1:
A 2. *blink blink* Prompt: covering featuring mostly blue. I think I need to take the 'mostly' out of this prompt... After much scrolling and checking I have picked Boku no Koe! I don't know if I've read any of this one before, I know I read a few of Nitta's other works.
Roll #2:
An 8, prompt: reverse harem. It's high time I read more Men of the Harem, hopefully I can remember what happened last.
Roll #3:
A 6, generate from TBR tile. #547. Oh, it's Hana wa Saku ka, I actually just put this back on the TBR too because it's been so long since I read the first 16 chapters I decided to start over;;
Roll #4:
Another 6, prompt: mythology. Ugh I don't like this prompt. Man, all of these rolls so far are kinda complicated. I picked The Correlation Between Love and Heat. Looks like some people had a problem with the lack of expressions, I'll just have to see for myself.

A 3 and there it is, the trap tile;; Went back, rolled, got a 9, one before the trap tile. Prompt: amnesia. That took a while... I picked Daydream Nightmare it's possible it was axed but to be sure people agreed it had a rushed ending, but it had a wacky charm? We'll see.

A 9, generate from CR list. Meeh. Lol it was 68/Men of the Harem. I don't have a rule for when this happens, I'll just generate a new number. #70 and ooo it's Mob Psycho 100. Do I remember what happened last...

A 4. Holy crap this TBR is going to be long. I got the trap tile again. I haven't even gotten a chance to use my skill yet either. Went back and rolled...a 12, LMAO back to the trap tile. Okay a 6 this time. Prompt: collection of stories. Hmm I'll try 2-Week Summer Secret.

flamingswordThe weather up here in this part of Washington Iโm in this week continues to be wet and very windy, and though I am safe here, I hope things calm down considerably before the flight back to NC. At least today is in the 50โs rather than the 17 degrees it was in NC yesterday. *insert picture of imaginary Heidi-shaped ice sickle*
Weโre getting plan options sorted through for the eventual move up here, and will be continuing to do work and plot out house stuff these last couple of days. The house is going to be even nicer to live in than it is currently being to stay in, since once I am here we can increase the pace of sorting through boxes, building shelves, and making things findable through the use of labeling and organizing.
I have people I get to take care of, who will make me take care of myself also. Weโre going to balance each other out so well as housemates!
And now I have to emotionally prepare for six months of not getting long hugs, not being able to work on my peopleโs aches and pains, and being geographically isolated from everyone except blood family. Which is not great, really, but I will survive it.

Read the BL Kantoku, Neko na Ore wa Dame Desu ka, rated it 7.8/10, I had fun with it! 
Read chapter 260-262 of Boku no Hero Academia, it took me ages to figure out about where I stopped last. ๐ญ I think I'm good now for when I read more. Read chapter 2 of Jibaku Shounen Hanako-kun. Bunny fairiesss. I (re)read chapter 1 of Witch Hat Atelier. 
(Re)read the BL kissing, rating went from 7 -> 6.8. Read chapter 182 of D.Gray-Man.

Geeze poor Bow dealing with both Adora and Entrapta.
Catra's last moments. ๐ญ I bet Prime will erase her memories. The flashbacks to their childhood were interesting, we saw Catra's possessiveness towards Adora, Adora saying they would always be friends, and Catra saying she would never say sorry. But she went and helped Glimmer and then apologized to Adora in the end.

OMG that Horde having a totally breakdown after he's not connected to Prime anymore. It must be really frightening but I can't help but laugh.
I know she was being controlled and that's awful but dang Catra looked good with short hair/all sleek. And Adora hugging her to herself made my heart squeeze. Apparently She-ra has healing powers?
Oh, the real Hordak found Entrapta's trinket. But won't Horde Prime erase his memories again? Also feel sorry for the Horde who will get wiped again too.

flamingswordI miss you sometimes the way a tooth is missing. Thereโs an unexpected empty spot somewhere vulnerable, and I canโt shake the feeling that I am less for that absence. Some delicate balance to the world is thrown off in ways that start with the personal and have domino effects into fundamental reality.
Maybe there are no physical constants. Maybe things only fall apart and never click together. But I have to believe some love is possible in the middle of this wide and uncertain suffering.
My divorce was final this time last year. I want to talk to you about it, but I would just say inanities because they donโt matter when you canโt hear them, and you will say nothing because the dead are missing like teeth in a broken smile.
Maybe there are no physical constants. Maybe things only fall apart and never click together. But I have to believe some love is possible in the middle of this wide and uncertain suffering.

I completed 9/9 from my last challenge, it only took me...7 months...aha;; I enjoyed all of them a lot, I couldn't choose a favorite!!

An 8 and the 'generate from TBR' tile! This one always takes a while because I have to cull my old TBR I no am no longer interested in. OTL #793, which is Leashed #1: Howl, an SPN M/M & M/M.F anthology. It doesn't have an audiobook so I'm experimenting with a TTS app called Audify.
Edit: I started on this one, got #23 of the way in and realized it's 90% smut, I'm not big on PWP/tiny plot so I dropped it, I should have read the reviews first honestly, but sometimes I get too wrapped up in rolling/picking for the challenge without thinking;; SO I am replacing the book. I'll still use the same generated number now that I've removed Howl.
Ookaay after deleting several from my TBR I decided to go with a short story in What the Cat Dragged In, an M/M shifter romance.

A 2, prompt: featuring a group of friends. A few people I follow have read this and rated it decently: Gentleman Bastard #1: The Lies of Locke Lamora.

A 5: prompt: romance element ILYBSM, a Christmas-themed M/M/M. No audiobook.

A 10 and the generate from series title. There's no easy way to do this but here goes... I finally generated a page with a series I've started but it was the Door Into Shadow and it's been a while since I read The Door Into Fire, so I suppose I'll reread that first. It's kind of cheating since I'm not actually continuing a series buut. Too bad it doesn't have an audiobook version though. :( I actually own at least the first few physical books somewhere.

A 9, Chinese-inspired. I took Iron Widow off my shelf so it can't be that. Okay I've picked out a children's book, Where the Mountain Meets the Moon.

Aand a 12. Reward: this took me ages because I didn't have anything jumping out at me. I ended up choosing something nostalgic in Christopher Pike's Spooksville #1: The Secret Path. I have read this one before but I figure I should start from the beginning. I have the audiobooks and they're about 2~ hours each so easy-peasy. =)
Most looking forward to: The Spooksville book because nostalgia
Least looking forward to: The Lies of Locke Lamora bcs I don't know what to expect

December Manga TBR 2

I finished 9/9 on my last board, that was a lot, and I finished them in 9 days too! I really enjoyed about 5 of them, the others were just 'fine'. I'm open to most anything for this new challenge.

A 5, prompt: reincarnation. I couldn't make up my mind so I went with the first on the list, D.Gray-Man, though not sure who it's talking about since the char I'm thinking of had someone's memory implanted in them, not technically reincarnation.
Roll #2:
A 10, prompt: intimidates you. I just spent entirely too long updating my CR list on MAL ahh and then figuring out what 'intimidates' me. Finally I settled on Boku no Hero Academia. Something I haven't read in a while always intimidates me and this is one I've been meaning to catch up on for a while now;;
Roll #3:
A 10, lol now I get 'generate off CR' list. #120...omg Witch Hat Atelier! I think I remember what was going on last.
Roll #4:
A 12, dang, and the CR tile yet again. #42 which is more Jibaku Shounen Hanako-kun.
Roll #5:
An 11 and the end. I got a lot of high rolls this time, huh. And so many shounen. Didn't need my skill. Gotta fit a BL in there with Kantoku, Neko na Ore wa Dame desu ka.
EDIT: How could I forgot my challenge to read all my psychical BL manga for this section. ๐ญ I still have several to go;; I already started on Kantoku so I'll just have to add this one after it: Kissing (Teiko Sasaki/Shoko Takaku).

December Manga Wrap-Up
bluapapilio I read BL Mangaka Shusshou Host wo Kau and rated it 6.5/10. I read the BL White Liar and rated it 8/10! I reread volume 2 of Junjou Romantica. I read volume 1 of Basara, a tragic but enthralling start, I'm scared but excited to read more. Read Hana ni Kuchizuke, it was a mess in ways but I want to continue with the series and see if there's more growth. I gave this a 7/10. I reread Kashinfuu and rated it 6.5/10. I read ch. 13-22 of Ouji-sama Nante Iranai, a balm to the heart as always! I finished volume 1 of Red Raven and I definitely look forward to reading more! I read volume 13 of Natsume Yuujinchou and it was perfection as always. Tags:
